Mission Workshop is working on a shoe with a cleat system. FINALLY, a shoe that actually looks decent that you can rock all day on the bike, and then drink it up at the pub later on. The only thing I'm worried about is how stiff the sole will be. Riding carbon soled shoes on my roadie and fixie versus riding in regular shoes is night and day. The power transfer, the smoothness of your stroke, etc... I can go on and on about the pros. But for those quick jaunts to grab a drink or pick up groceries they aren't ideal. These shoes from MW should solve that problem.
Seeing these shoes from MW, reminded me of this one guy's attempt at exactly that. I wouldn't be comfortable with my foot flexing that much through my pedal stroke.
