Big stage today for Alberto Contador who now sits 8 seconds ahead of Andy Schleck to claim the yellow jersey. With less than 2 kms left on the final climb Schleck decided to attack the chase group he was in carrying Contador, Menchov, Sanchez and Vinokourov. Right when he was about attack, Schleck's chain dropped and the group left him behind. Many people called it fair play, but Team Saxo Bank called it "untraditional". PLEASE. The Tour is a race, not a social ride. You didn't hear Team Radioshack cry when Armstrong had a flat in the earlier stages of the tour or when he crashed 3 times in the same stage. You just have to man up and handle it. No need for excuses.

Anyway, Schleck's still rocking the best young rider jersey and only 8 seconds back. Look for Schleck to get the jersey back in tomorrow's stage.
