On the left is the original Merckx shoe and on the right is the shoe influenced by the older model created by Joe from Brooklyn Machine Works. The new model looks more Samba than anything and too bulky for my taste. Honestly, I liked the silhouette of the original. Adidas should have just retro'd and updated the technology on it. If this colorway will clash with your wardrobe, you're in luck Adidas is also releasing a black and white version. Look for this at your local hypebeast cycling stockist.
