The Tour of Flanders (Dutch: Ronde van Vlaanderen) is a road cycling race held in Flanders, Belgium. It is held every spring, exactly one week before Paris-Roubaix, and it used to be part of the UCI World Cup. It is now part of the UCI ProTour and is regarded as one of the 'Monuments' of the European professional cycling calendar. Text from here.
The tour just happened on April 4. The Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara laid the hurt on Tom Boonen to win the Tour on the last climb of the course. Cancellara accelerated away on the legendary cobblestone "Muur" climb which has a staggering 20% gradient, and Boonen could not respond. American riders Lance Armstrong, Tyler Farrar and George Hincapie finished with the peloton.
