If you're lucky to live in San Francisco, MASH SF is finally opening up a store front this Sunday. They did it first and still do it best. Ride by for a visit @ 773 14th Street.

Best of Both Worlds?

Engineering students at UPenn developed this chain less drive train bike. With this drivetrain you can switch between fixed and multi gear setups with a flip of a button. Once you start rolling an LED screen mounted on the handlebars reads the usual bike related things (speed, cadence, etc...). I'm all for inovation, but nothing will ever beat the real thing.

Those kids at UPenn sure know how to beast right though. H+SON hoops, integrated bar stem, deda seat post, and Gatorskins. The best part? The EDGE fork. Not that ENVE crap, an EDGE fork.

Repeats for Lunch

Handled work real early this morning, and had the rest of the day to just chill. What do you get when you combine free time + nice weather + bike? You get hill repeats in PV. It's been a minute since I've put any real saddle time in, so it was nice to get out and get wet. Backside to Hawthorne is no joke once, but doing it twice is unforgiv(able)ing.

2011 Paris-Roubaix

Johan Van Summeren from Team Garmin-Cervelo took the overall this past Sunday. With Fabian Cancellara from Leopard trek taking 2nd honors.

Cancellara is showing strong form during the spring classics. He took 3rd at the Tour of Flanders taking place on April 3rd. If he keeps this up, he's definitely one of the top contenders for the grand tours. Coupled with the Schleck bros, you've got yourself one HELLUEVA team.

Results from Paris-Roubaix:
1Johan Van Summeren (Bel) Team Garmin-Cervelo6:07:28
2Fabian Cancellara (Swi) Leopard Trek0:00:19
3Maarten Tjallingii (Ned) Rabobank Cycling Team
4Grégory Rast (Swi) Team RadioShack
5Lars Ytting Bak (Den) HTC-Highroad0:00:21

Rapha Cyclists Prep for Hell of the North

Or the Queen of the Classics if you're feeling nice. The fabled one day race is right around the corner happening April 10th.

Watching the Classic races is 2 fold for me. 1, you get to see how real cyclists race especially during the classics cause they're only 1 day. 2, and most important NEW BIKES to beast on.

Image from here.

For example, check the Manx Missile's new weapon of choice. He's rolling on Specialized's new McLaren Venge.
